Today

 Outdoor free time
Charcoal pencil

one day

one day
this will all be a memory
no one left to remember
and thoughts and memories
sink into the curtains
fade away into dust and sand
dry, brittle bones and cracking skulls
home to solitary spiders
webs of thoughts and strings of time
all just a whisper of existence
there are dead flowers on the kitchen table
gaps in the hardwood floor
all that’s left is gone and all I am is nothing
life was mine to hold
but only for a minute
passing through
and the
world
still turns.

Recollection

This was my first ever released song!!
I made it in GarageBand and it was definitely a learning process, but I just love the ambient soundscapes they have on there. It was so relaxing to create something like this.

3 Self Portraits

16x20 graphite on Bristol

I made these for my figure studies class. I spent a lot of time thinking about how much importance society holds on a person’s appearance, and how drastically it can change the way people perceive and interact with you. I experienced this myself as I experimented with different hairstyles throughout the years and found that people will always hold their own opinions, so why should we take it so seriously?

why i am switching from instagram to a blog

    ⋆。°✩ ⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊✩₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆ ✩°。⋆
  1. Because I like to say that I don’t have instagram
  2. No likes or follower count
  3. To avoid negativity and harmful content
  4. No more doomscrolling!
  5. To be able to crop and label images how I like
  6. Allows for more creative freedom with layouts and themes
  7. Posting for the sake of documentation
  8. Feels less like I’m trying to prove myself to the public or receive validation
  9. Not having my posts instantly shown to everyone I know / feels more personal
  10. To try something new and have fun with it!
